There’s a bunch of people on LinkedIn that just make shit up for clicks and it works.

(For the record, Apple Pay or Google pay work)

In response to a post about how poor ByLineTimes is, bylinetimes.bsky.social demonstrates how awful they are. Jfc

Something that would impress people but that can be done relatively easily if I put the time in would be appreciated.

Right in my wheelhouse and what I was talking about yesterday at a conference. Countries and institutions use soft power to counter balance the horrors. And because we’re idiots we fall for it.

An argument only spouted by people who don’t know the faintest thing about sport and who are too lazy to find out. The main victims of Caster Semenya et al were black female African athletes who lost out on places and medals in local and regional teams, national squads. Dreams shattered by cheats

One of the reasons why countries like Turkey are poorly understood outside Turkey is because interlocutors are so awful. This is absolute nonsense (and I’d know given some family connections). US universities have been awful but holding up Bogazici as an example. Jfc

What are you talking about Jonn ? I make a perfectly calm, polite, nuanced comment to be then accused by some idiot of monstering trans people.

He’s an epidemiologist at Yale so he knows that this number is meaningless unless we know how many Google suicide every week / what discussing suicide actually means / how ChatGPT responds

Using suicide as a context to rail against your pet peeve (unis pushing AI for this dude) is kind of gross.
November 8, 2025 at 8:03 AM
And that’s exactly what he did

The more I read this, the dumber it gets. Popular US political commentators are genuinely awful across the political spectrum. No wonder the Seps love Mehdi and Douglas Murray.
