Wolves get a Conley/Gobert P&R with Anthony Edwards spaced in the weakside corner. Conley gets the defense to engage, help on the roll, good job by Edwards to rise up. Skip is there for a 3.

Suns double Alperen Sengun and look at the ball movement from the Rockets.

Stephen Curry, sheesh.

Anthony Edwards and Malik Monk going back and forth is fun.

Bam Adebayo defense is always a good time.

The Brandon Ingram catch and shoot threes in Toronto have been fun. Quickley gets a high pick and roll, Cavs put two on the ball, quick skip to BI for 3.

No bucket but liked this ATO from Cleveland. Left side is clear, Mobley screens for Donovan Mitchell. That flows into inverted P&R with Mitchell screening for Mobley. Really nice slip gets a good look.

Minnesota has had more flow and movement on offense but again you see the impact of switching. Takes that off the table. Suns work to scram switch against Reid and now it comes down to how many of these matchups will he win.
November 24, 2025 at 5:58 PM
For Minnesota to hit their ceiling, will have to find their counter vs. physical defense and switches. Teams working to slow them down. Double drag into a pindown for Edwards and he doesn't catch until 12. Suns showing help, boxes and elbows and they double late.
November 24, 2025 at 5:55 PM
The Toronto Raptors are playing connected basketball on both ends.
November 24, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Not brand new but you can really feel the moments where Jaylen Brown is just *not* going to let his defender recover in pick and roll. The screens from Queta help but takes the space, doesn't let Wagner recover, engages the big and hits Queta late. Good stuff.

Just filing this in the "why do teams auto switch" category. To avoid this and stay solid. Plus the angle you navigate when you know you're switching vs. when you're trying to fight over/navigate is different.

Lakers have been mixing it more Elbow action to get LeBron, Luka, Reaves together in action. Luka catches, LeBron screens for Reaves and the Lakers get a switch. Now LeBron catches the ball near the middle of the floor with Luka one pass away.
November 24, 2025 at 3:16 AM
No bucket but you see the Lakers finding ways to use Luka, LeBron and Reaves together. Bron/Hayes as screeners. Hayes slips, Nurkic at the level and stays. Luka hits LeBron who drives and forces more help, kick to Reaves for a 3.

Lakers clear a side for LeBron James to post up. Austin Reaves one pass away. Looking to force help, Ayton dives. Utah is anticipating a rotation on the weakside, the problem is it doesn't happen and LaRavia cuts for two.
November 24, 2025 at 1:53 AM
Said it on the podcast but LeBron's return should boost Deandre Ayton in pick and roll. Reaves screens for Bron to get a switch. Now it's two man game, hits Ayton rolling.
November 24, 2025 at 1:45 AM
Raptors continue to lean into attacking matchups. Brandon Ingram as a screener, gets the switch and posts. Nets front and help on the catch. Good dive from Mamu to hold the defense, good job by Quickley to slide into Ingram's vision.
November 24, 2025 at 1:34 AM
Kon Knueppel just gets it done. ATO is a wide pindown into Knueppel screening. Works to find an angle and get a touch and slip. Nice drive, finds Diabate late.

Old school from Jaquez. Back down, hit first and back out. That's the setup. Fake left, spin and finish. Real hoops.
