Happy Birthday Doctor Who. First aired on November 23rd 1963.

It's always interesting to think of the actors who could have played the Doctor.

Amusingly, that list also includes Michael Jackson and Bill Cosby for the 1996 TV movie...

Splendid fellows, all of them! (Apart from those two)

I finished off @cheeseford.bsky.social in bed last night.

Or rather, I finished Mr. Barfe's rather excellent biog of Les Dawson. Most interesting, bloody well detailed and such a shame Les never got to make his An Audience With.... that would have been special.

Rapido. They had the exclusive to do the actual Titfield Thunderbolt. I have the Hornby Lion (at the back here) and the 80's restoration from Rapido too, but going to sell the latter as 3 Lions may be a catchy tune, but I don't need all 3! Managed to get them all at very good prices, though.

This has cost a few quid, far more than I'd usually pay for an engine, but I bloody love it.
