It's a good question. Obviously, they record mileage at MOT. But, what about the first three years?

To be fair to Ralph, he offers to take you for a walk. And exercise can improve mood :-)

I like it here. Sure, it's a bit quiet compared to the other place. But, at least it feels like other users get to see my posts.

I don't think that's unique to Bluesky. :-)

I have no feeling for that stat.
However, Wikipedia gives a long list of successful Bills dating back to i983. If that's 1% there are a lot more of these things than I thought.

The fact it’s not enough of a priority for them to table doesn't mean they don't believe in it.
We have the private members' bill system for a reason.

She could have done that with one amendment.
She is deliberately trying to sabotage the Bill.

And without assisted dying, the only alternative is terrible suffering.
I take your point, though. Maybe palliative care funding should be part of the bill.

I think that's a separate issue. Though, I very much agree that palliative care should be much better funded. I donate to my local hospice. But, I'm just one person. I can never give them enough.

Yes. It'll take some time for a change in the relative capital cost of a house to work its way through to rents.
It would help if interest rates fell a bit more.
Also, there will be some cases where rental properties are owned by hedge funds and the like. That should be regulated IMO.

Fair point.

I agree. The excessive cost of housing is a big part of this country's problems. Having said that, I'm told it's currently falling in real terms. (i.e. compared to incomes.)
Maybe the pressure will eventually ease.

I strongly suspect they're full of it on this issue.

Ahh. Esther is an influential voice. But, she has no direct power. The Commons have passed the Bill. It's probably imperfect. But, IMO, that's no excuse for just sabotaging it. There's strong public support for such a thing.
