Today the Edinburgh Green Councillors proposed radical changes to the Tourist Tax allocation. Sadly other parties were not open to protecting services, affordable transport or creating safer community environments. 🌳 🚌 🤝

Cllr Ross McKenzie who was first elected as a Scottish Labour representative has joined the Scottish Green Party. The councillor for Sighthill/Gorgie has been welcomed as the newest member of the Green Group on Edinburgh council. He is said to be “a Green-aligned independent member”. The announcement means the Green Group now have eleven councillors, the same number as the ruling Labour administration and one more than the Conservative group.

How far Labour has fallen that, now, in the face of a genocide, they refuse to use their power to oppose arms companies testing on Council land 🥀

With this latest SNP retreat we're falling behind on energy efficiency.

With bills soaring and climate change accelerating, it's vital we improve home insulation and expand the use of clean energy like heat pumps and heat networks.
