Computers were a skill. They were taught in classrooms as a skill. Skills give you power over your tools because you work them as an expert and that is leverage to multiply externally.

I had a rental broker laugh at me for reading the entire contract, and then grumble when I asked him to fix several places that didn't match the ad. "They don't actual enforce those, it's fine!"
They absolutely tried to enforce all of them as originally written!
