There's also no good rationale for why MSC infusion would help heart failure, but the authors reported a huge benefit, which adds to the overall concerns here.

Anjeanette, can I ask you a couple of questions about the peptides at the heart of this story? As a biologist I've gotten more interested in these influencer-touted "peptides" more generally and written about them including mentioning them in my STAT column. I'm writing another piece on them...
