Yeah, you still have to "pick a server". This is still both "not really that big of a deal" and "well actually".

Yes, my project is no longer usable as the whole platform it was hosted on has shut down.
I do plan on rewriting some of the tutorials, but in the meantime, I would recommend looking at neocities.org, and the photoswipe.com library that the original project used.

To be fair, the two main Mastodon servers, mastodon.social and mastodon.online do have quote posts now (the rest will get them soon), so it might be worth signing up on one of these to try things out.
