maybe every political journalist in the country just made up some quotes and attributed them to number ten sources as a joke
NEW: Keir Starmer spoke to his senior No 10 team this morning and said briefings against ministers are “completely unacceptable” and would bring consequences, No 10 say. He was “assured that no No 10 staff briefed against ministers” and accepted this assurance.

strange but true: in the late 20th century and even the early 21st, UK prime ministers would usually stay in office for as long as 2 or 3 years. often longer!

“the devious wes streeting is plotting to oust me from office which is destabilising to the government and the bond markets, however his position in my cabinet is totally secure despite what i just said about all the destabilising scheming”

haven’t played fifa in a little while and got back on board with eafc 26. kind of surprised how bad it is? you can win games like 9-0 consistently on pro and then world class is a grind, not sure any single player game mode nails it, it desperately needs a half decent competitor

great news!
NEW: Rachel Reeves signals she intends to remove the two-child cap *in full*

"I don't think a child should be penalised because they're in a bigger family through no fault of their own," she tells BBC.

that there isn’t a mainstream 7pm-ish music show on the bbc is bad imo. get your radio stations to pick the lineup for variety each week + charts. make people listen to stuff they wouldn’t otherwise imo

people have problem with bbc backwards often times. it should be more paternalistic and elitist if anything

The Biden administration was fully complicit in genocide, and anyone who served in it should be held accountable.

if the faithful win this series, i think it’s been the best UK series of traitors. so many times they’ve had no right to win from the position they got themselves in but the two who might do it have played a blinder if they pull it off (hopefully not too spoilery!)

Reports that the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan have executed over 2,000 unarmed civilians are harrowing. They are crimes against humanity.

This government must stop all arms sales to the UAE, especially since evidence shows the RSF is using British military equipment on battlefields in Sudan.

the labour party do not know how to counter a threat from their left that they can’t suspend or deselect
I’m told Labour MPs have been told by whips to *abstain* in the vote on Nigel Farage’s ten-min rule bill on leaving the ECHR, which has left some furious. Whips’ arguments seems to be to just ignore it. Labour MPs worry it leaves Lib Dems/Greens looking like only they care on this.

I like how Zohran Mamdani scandals are like "He called his old cousin his aunt one time" and Andrew Cuomo scandals are like "He sexually assaulted 13 women."

in zohran’s jon stewart interview he says he’s been using the ed koch quote in interviews "if you agree with me on 9 out of 12 issues, vote for me. if you agree with me on 12 out of 12 issues, see a psychiatrist." and some kid shouted at him “12 out of 12 baby! take me away!”

green success under polanski seems driven by fact left-liberals have been told they should be somewhere between embarrassed & ashamed to think what they think on wealth tax, gender, palestine & immigration by everybody else but polanski isn’t. good strat at this stage clearly!
