Granted, my expectations were low, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Indianapolis’ bike/walking trials.

Got off work late to find that my card key can’t open the door to the bike room after hours. Now I don’t have access to the most convenient form of transit for me for a weekend. Would they do this to people’s cars? #Motonormativity

Update! Managed to get an appointment, go to the appointment, and get the new meds with just 3 of the pills of my old medication left.
“Upgraded” to a different medication that will more likely have an effect too. Sometimes things work out.
Reader, I was dumb to feel hope. 5 minutes into session, psych was like: "you need an in-person appointment to access controlled substances in this state, duhh." Now I'm trying to book an in-person appointment. Will I manage to have it before my meds run out? Stay tuned to find out -- I guess?

I bought this book as a gift to myself shortly after being diagnosed, and that was almost as good of a decision as seeking out the diagnosis. The book is thoroughly researched and full of empathy for autistics. I'm saddened to hear of his passing but he leaves a wonderful legacy behind.
Every author's dream is writing a book that touches some readers so deeply that they post "birthday" pics every year on the day it was published. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Kristen G. Callow, for being a great person, a brave mom, and the biggest fan of my book "NeuroTribes."

We are bereft: Steve Silberman has died. He was our dear friend, and a tireless and enthusiastic ally to our entire community. His book NeuroTribes enlightened, empowered, and educated millions about autism and autistic people.

May his memory be a blessing.

Misdiagnosed And Misunderstood

This most likely sounds banal in neurodivergent-internet circles, but I can't get over how people with an executive dysfunction disability are forced to jump through all sorts of bureaucratic hoops to access the most effective treatments for it. #ADHD
