Part of a visual timeline of my WoL, Rivière Renais, showing their outfit changes along the way. "Misplaced Prodigy Encouraged to study and hone their Echo's painterly powers at Old Sharlayan in their teens. Awkward, isolated and closeted - until they meet and grow close to Krile. The two work to revive the lost art of Pictomancy together. Despite her support, they eventually flunk from pressure, ostracization and depression. (Brush created with Krile. Was eventually permitted to wear the womens' uniform.)" "Treasure Hunters' Apprentice Taken by their adoptive Elezen mother to find a new and healthier life in Dravania to escape Ishgard's cold - and prejudiced populace. Falls in with the treasure hunters and Goblins of Idyllshire, knowledge of their Sharlayan birthplace and their Pictomancy skills aiding in plundering. It's not honest work, but it provides purpose and belonging. (Beret (and other clothes) made by adoptive mother Amelaine.)" "Hesitant Hero Summoned by a letter from the Scions, who were referred to their Echo by Galuf and Krile. Quickly traumatized by severe stakes and senseless deaths, their soft heart unprepared for such heavy responsibility. Finally feels like they belong in Ishgard, but increasingly hardened under pressure and duty. Cagey upon reunion with Krile." "Lost Soul Casts aside their brush, feeling unworthy to wield it any longer. Returns to Idyllshire and then Ishgard, desperate for normalcy, but fails to find it. Walks the path of the Dark Knight, attempts to grapple with pent-up emotions (does not succeed.) (Blade bequeathed by the Moogles.)" "Warrior of Darkness Brought back by determination to aid their ailing friends (and Krile), and reconnects with them in the First. Grows more comfortable with their heroic identity, but emerges shaken. Their relationship with Krile begins to heal afterwards, especially with G'raha's return reuniting their Baldesion trio. (New beret from Tataru, intended to lift their spirits. Hair and eyes shifted with each Lightwarden consumed. Rendered color-blind for a few months after.)" "Painter of Light Anxious over rising stakes, but feels more capable than ever. Their and Krile's love finally blossoms, lighting an impassioned fire in them. Learns to embrace their gentle heart again, discovering how key love is to stopping the Final Days." "Adventurous Artisan Spends a year assisting Krile in rebuilding the Students of Baldesion, and helps her learn Pictomancy to hold her own. Reluctant to aid in the Rite of Succession, but is fully committed to accompanying Krile in her personal journey. Grows close to Wuk Lamat in an unexpected mentor role."
