Not to mention that judging how good a video game is based on how many copies it can sell and arguing that remakes are needed just so that it can sell more to mainstream audiences and "be better" is like, a super corporate, brainrotten way of looking at art lmfao

I'm not super anti remake there ARE examples of ones I like but the people who don't ever shut the fuck up about how they think an game made before the year 2000 is unplayable garbage and people only liked it bc of the time make me want no remakes and people to be forced to engage with older titles

Like, the amount of people who act like Resident Evil 1 needs yet *another* remake so that it can "fix" the camera angles and make it more in-line with the overused style of the other RE remakes drives me insane.

It's a very anti-art view IMO, it's refusing to engage with a medium on its own terms.

Casual gamers have certainly become more and more used to thinking that a lack of QoL features that were developed in *modern* times makes an old game retroactively "bad"

It's also the result of way too many remakes flooding the market and becoming the first exposure ppl have to any given franchise

They're the best ports of the og trilogy games IMO

I remember the starter decks from the Gameboy Advance games being really good for teaching a new player how to play and also do some cool combos like fusing monsters (as a little kid, it confused me where fusion monsters "came from" if they're not in your deck, until I played one of those games lol)

This is why it pisses me off the way so many people here got all smug and condescending and decided to ridicule others into deleting their twitter accounts without thinking things through, even calling people "nazis" for not instantly deleting their accounts.

I remember having this game as a kid. It was one of the few original games we had that wasn't pirated lol

The Jaguar is very interesting because the base model had A tier aura but it becomes F tier aura with the CD add-on

Really, the only use poor people can have for the very little money we earn is to give it back to rich people/corporations in one way or another.

I have a feeling it's also why companies *loathe* when people use their money to buy things made by independent artists.
