A much smaller example from Crystal River, Florida. This manatee gave me a look that I somehow recognized from my long association with dogs. He drifted right up to my face, and we went nose-to-nose through my face mask.

The photo was taken looking through a large hole from inside a very large rock that is studded with fossils of small sea creatures. This used to be below the sea floor. Now it resides at about 12,000 feet at the top of the Continental Divide.Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain Nat'nal Park, Colorado.
