"The kangaroo is a funny animal. When attacked, it defends itself." ~ Neville Cardus

"This is what I observe or expect to happen" isn't the same as "This is what I want to happen." Not even remotely close.
As long as the stock market is doing fine, "we" do not care.

It is as sickening as selling arms to Iran, and redirecting the funds to nun-raping Contras.

Or the drone-killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, an American citizen without due process.

Or the continuing atrocities at the concentration camps.

A second reminder. Despite the cruel indifference, Hillary Clinton praised the Reagans for their "low-key advocacy" of AIDS/HIV issues.

War crime without a war? Novel!

Which book?

Does that book also have literally the example that you cannot drone an American citizen, because that would be illegal?

Comparisons to the eventual trials at Nuremberg are naive. To put Nazis on trial at Nuremberg, two superpowers used massive violence to defeat and then capture the fascists.

Nothing like that is in the offing. These fascists were elected democratically, and no help is coming from outside.

Congrats, you found the loophole while missing the point!

Also, a reminder that the other celebrity president, St. Reagan, ignored the crisis so much that he did not even mention AIDS by name until four years had passed and 25,000 Americans had died.

Most soldiers, 99.99% of the time, will simply carry out an order from a superior. They lack the legal expertise and fear repercussions for disobeying an order (which are usually far more severe) to object to something.

Most Americans are confused about this, thanks to Aaron Sorkin's scripts.

They are all protected. If it ever comes to a head where Bradley is about to be tried, TACO 45 will issue a pardon.

To him, and anyone else involved.

Thank the beloved founding fathers for bestowing the limitless power of the pardon on the elected king.

But what if you really wanted to be cruel to other humans?

But then, Bezos and a few centibillionaires will buy them cheap and control the healthcare sector.

It is all Mamdani's fault.

Newsmax is probably more her speed.

I do not think he has any issues, considering he got Kegseth, Kash, Emil Bove, and RFK Jr. all confirmed.

Unless one thinks that they were qualified in some way.

Huge upgrade over Hayes, and Portland is paying him.

The meme came to life, apparently.

Republicans to stop being Republicans? That, I am less optimistic about than holding our own in a civil war. Or even a street brawl.

TACO 45 will be gone in three years. Fascism? A couple of decades. It is depressing to see so many not get this.

They don't care if they are morally entitled. They are only concerned with the legal ones, and devoid of consequences, they're above the law.

Props to your friend and your brother, they are in a very small minority of patriots willing to face and commit violence, unfortunately.

Most of the rest?

"When they go low, we go high." Or "violence is never the answer."

We are currently under a democratically elected fascist regime.
December 1, 2025 at 2:15 AM
The MAGAts willing to inflict brutality outnumbers the "good uns."

Massively.

They are also well-equipped by the fascist state.

It'll take a massive fissure in the military before "staunch libs" can be effective.

It'll also need leadership that currently is busy condemning Mamdani.

They'll be safely hiding behind the US military.

He won't.

He will be pardoned long before such even becomes a possibility.

No, the Hague is a joke.

Please don't be naive to say "but Nuremberg," either. For such trials, you have to first topple the fascist regime, which will require great violence and a couple of victorious military powers.

Not cowardice, ignorant cruelty. When you absolutely have no qualms about destroying people and then learning that it was illegal.
