What a stretch of games.
A nice look at a rarely seen Harris’s sparrow. They are one of North America’s largest sparrows and have a very unique look to them. This one was hanging out in the same spot in Lake County for a few days. Very pretty little bird.

Having a VERY exciting Plover Appreciation Day. Aster left Waukegan on July 31, and we have been anxiously waiting to see where they would end up wintering.
