One of the stranger things I did in journalism was wait outside a Tampa jail all night for Darryl to turn himself in on parole violations. (My friend was actually stringing for the AP, and I wasn’t going to let her sit at the jail alone.)
Darryl Strawberry, the baseball slugger who won the World Series while with the New York Mets and Yankees, but whose career was tainted by drug use and other legal problems, received a pardon from President Trump for his three-decade-old tax evasion conviction.

To add on to everything Andrea Felsted says here about the Trader Joe's mini-tote, I'll add that they're so easy to carry and hold a surprising amount. It's the best bag I own.

I'll not repost this just to say: Project Finish is the best. I couldn't go this year, but I've been the past two NYC marathons, and it is intense and amazing. (You can follow them on IG for details!)
The people who stay to cheer the last person on a marathon are my personal emotional kryptonite.

I pledge my undying fealty to them every time — just uncharacteristically irrationally committed to a group of strangers who would do this.

A beer hall? Soccer team? The Art Museum's new logo and name are drawing fire. But the real test will be whether or not the redesign brings in crowds and raises money.
