I finished reading a book today and am processing on whether or not I actually liked it...It was for my city's "reads together" challenge and I don't think I would have picked it up otherwise. I'm glad to have this dialogue with myself about it instead of asking a chat bot what I should think lol

A coworker wants to make two quilt wall hangings from quilt blocks his late mother made.

He has been dreading sewing the project and not familiar with sewing. But today I told him we'll set up the machine and just sew one seam together.

20 minutes later, he managed to sew several blocks together!

Over the past four days, I've hosted a different birthday party for myself (dinner at a restaurant, online party, in-person board games, and in-person crafting). It's been really wonderful getting to start off my new year amongst my community and feel really loved. 💕

I FINALLY finished these quilted place mats! I can't believe the last update on these was 5 months ago but to be fair half of that time was spent recovering from surgery. I'm proud with how they turned out! #quilt #quiltsky (Recipient's name redacted for privacy)

Had fun drawing this scaly-foot gastropod last month! (I also have a little stamp I made in August but it’s not on my phone)

Apparently I have been desensitized by my neighbors' fake owls in their yards (including one that is motion activated) because tonight when I was walking, I saw an owl shape hanging out in a field... It took me a solid minute to realize OH THAT'S A REAL OWL WOW!!!

I went to the Stardew Valley Symphony of Seasons concert today and had a lovely time! My Krobus shirt had stains on it so I covered them up with cross stitched items from his shop. I am excited to do more cross stitch (and boot Stardew Valley back up again hehe).
