Democrats really seem like they genuinely prefer being a permanent opposition/show party. No power but also no responsibility, just chill and cozy up with lobbyists and have people listen to them talk, do book tours and accumulate easy money.

If institutions and procedures cannot help human beings, they should be ignored or abolished. No institution or procedure should be defended for its own sake.
