That assessment is consistent with one given by Prof Michael Clarke, former director of RUSI, who said yesterday on @news.sky.com that that the last ~80 years are the blip against a thousand years of wars in Europe.
Ironic that it needed an idiot of a so-called western ally, to put kibosh on that.
