As most of you know, especially now with this post for context, I haven’t opened commissions to the general public in any significant amount in 2025 because of how poorly I’ve felt physically and mentally, and because I owe my friends art already. This has meant a lot less disposable income. I think I’ve done maybe 35 drawings all year, which is heartbreaking to me.

Hi everyone. I posted this in a couple of places recently, but I want this on my blog as well, so I can share it in other places where long-form text is not ideal. Also, there's been an update that I wanted to add, and some overall adjustments I made to the post. Throughout 2025, I've often thought, and sometimes said, that it's been one of the worst years of my life.

I neglected this place for quite a long time; so long, in fact, that it was enough time to cycle through some special interests. 😅 As usual, I don't really grow out of them, more like go on intense benders and then take a break. Such was the case with Calico Critters. It isn't my first time playing with them, but it is my first time going all-out on creating a huge display, which involved more than simply buying and putting together sets.

Today I added stick-on patches to the pink version of this backpack! I also tested it with one of my bigger plushies, Crème Brûlée. I wanted to see what is the biggest I can carry comfortably in one of these bags. I am really happy with it so far. Once the keychains come in, they'll be complete!
