Zero tolerance was just a psyop to condition a generation into not defending itself from petty bullshit

It's more important to show a defensive front by telling bullies to fuck off than it is to worry about being rude to the bullies.

So people stay quiet when they see fucked up things, because they don't want to be perceived as rude, even though *the fucked up thing they noticed is also rude*

It's like, a microcosm of crowd think when you see someone getting bullied. "Don't feed the trolls" doesn't mean ignore the victims.

But all this does is lay out a red carpet for the people who want to prey on your politeness.

And I see this a lot in online spaces. Where people who point out that something is fucked up, get told that it's rude to say that, even though the things they're pointing out as fucked up, are fucked up

Sometimes I do! I just find it really interesting that I'm able to process and filter some serious double vision.

And nobody ever let the poor guy live it down. This was in like 2006. I don't even remember the guys name but I remember everyone losing their shit laughing at him saying busting makes me feel good, and then his realization at what he just said to a bunch of teenagers

I'm not sure how they do it, maybe statistical modeling based on where people skip to or pause

But it's intentional. Being aware of it is important. There's an entire industry based around manipulating you.

It is always watching and listening and recording.

And it doesn't care about your safety.

The creator will go on a tangent about something interesting, and then wind up with a "And here's how it all works together" and you'll get an ad.

Or you'll be watching someone play a game, and right as they're about to start a boss battle, it'll play an ad.

You're in a receptive state. Ad.

This is one of the major reasons i think adblockers are important and a very useful tool to protect yourself from manipulation. The advertising companies want you to be exposed to their content when you're engaged and attentive, ever noticed on YouTube that ads play when the video is getting good?

Basically, propaganda is personalized, and these machines are designed to break you down.

Scrolling TikTok or YouTube shorts, you get that trickle of dopamine. And then you get a turning point usa ad. And because you're in an elevated dopamine state, the propaganda mixes with pleasure.

Our media is owned by billionaires and their interest groups, they benefit when the politicians that align with their finances are in office, so your feed will always have some level of exposure to political and social manipulation, because the platforms we interact on are also control tools.
