Much better, and more likely to make money, if you do what Monolith is doing, and sell a valuable carbon product for $1/kg, than to bury it at any level of subsidy imaginable. And they're within 100 miles of 40% of ammonia users in the USA, so they have a market for their hydrogen already.

That's a statement of pure #hopium if I've ever heard one.

Methane pyrolysis is a carbon-producing technology. Make a valuable carbon product? Then you will make money, maybe- but the scale of your H2 production will be limited. Throw away your carbon into low value applications? You will not make money. www.linkedin.com/pulse/hydrog...
Hydrogen by Methane Pyrolysis
TL&DR: many are pushing the idea of heating up methane until it falls apart into carbon and hydrogen. That can be a smart way to make valuable carbon products, but doing that isn't easy- and it will n...

Here's my opinion about one such pilot project already running in Ontario. Stupid, with stupid sauce. www.linkedin.com/posts/paul-m...

Sadly, Canada's retail carbon tax + rebate program was poorly explained to the public. Rebates came by direct deposit and hence weren't noticed by rich people, who claimed they "never got a cheque"...yeah, great policy can be killed by something THAT stupid.

First past the post is a disaster. NDP got 2/3 of the votes the Libs got, but twice as many seats. Cons got 80 seats- Greens, in proportion to the popular vote, should have had 8, but got 2. This is a clown show, not an electoral process.

That room full of clowns being considered a "cabinet" is unbelievable.
