Taken from the window in my living room. That is not my cat, just one who has claimed my property as their own, and is patiently waiting for the chipmunk to reappear from its home under my carport.
It's early morning, and the pale sunlight is just appearing on a post at the right side of the picture. A neighborhood cat is sitting patiently on the concrete floor of my carport, tail wrapped around its feet, staring intently at the entrance of a chipmunk's home and waiting for it to emerge. Alas, it did not, and the cat left unsatisfied.

❤️ I took this pic before I left for work this morning.
A lovely spider chilling in her web at the corner of my out-of-frame carport. She is back-lit by morning light with the branches and leaves of a crepe myrtle tree behind her. Most of the leaves are still green, but a few are showing yellow, hinting that autumn isn't far behind.
