people have been making weird art since they’ve been making art. If he’d like a more recent example Duchamp has an excellent weird sculpture that’s also perfect for giving a nerd a swirlie in

I want you to know that the last one is basically an optional difficulty add in Rain World except instead of a bonewheel it’s a centipede as long as the screen

Still immortal tho

To extend the take a lot more charity than it‘s earned, that’s truer than it was five years ago

Can I ask what editor you’ll be using?

Probably I mean shapes with hexagonal faces on the top and bottom and rectangles on the sides. not totally sure what “clean” means here I’m afraid, this is all very outside my skill set.
I’m looking forward to your stuff! voxels is a fascinating aesthetic/workflow I’ve never got my head around.

A question ive had for a long time is whether there is a way of doing voxel art that uses hexagons instead of cubes and what some of the different considerations might be for that

But also I don’t know much about much in this department so I have no clue if that’s even a coherent question

I also haven’t deliberately flirted with anybody not my current wife in about 17 years or something so I think some of the confusion might be non flirt related
January 18, 2026 at 1:43 AM
Idk I think confuse has always been pretty key
January 18, 2026 at 1:13 AM

January 18, 2026 at 1:13 AM
Genuinely I think we are probably less than a week out from them actually just starting fires
January 17, 2026 at 3:28 PM

I think it was Austin Walker who explained the disjoint spaces with something along the lines of “of course it’s incoherent, empire renders space incoherent and contradictory”

I doubt they did it on purpose and I don’t prefer it to dark souls 1’s dense puzzlebox map, but I’m less mad than I was

I’m just gonna say it: if solaire secretly posts on r/wallstreetbets it’s important that you not tell us. People need heroes

Ok speaking of leaving money on the table, here’s some music??

If you’re into Gameboys, violins, fuzzy guitars and a lot of singing then we got you. I recommend Twelve Months or After the Lights Failed as a primer.
Curious Quail
Orchestral + chiptune indie collective with members in the San Francisco Bay Area, the Pacific Northwest and New England that mix fuzzy guitar rock, orchestral instrumentation, lots of vocal layers, and music made with Nintendo Gameboys.
