While 2025 likely won’t be the year the Vision Pro reaches the mass market—and I even doubt it will be in 2026—it will be the year the platform gets a significant boost with much more content and many new experiences that will, step by step, make this technology more popular.

6) Apple Immersive will get a lot more interesting when Apple broadcasts its first immersive sports livestream of a football match. They will also launch a special episode of one of their hit TV shows in an immersive format.

5) We’ll get at least three new stock apps optimized for Vision Pro. My guess is that they’ll be Calendar, Measure, and an immersive app for Maps (introduced with visionOS 3)

3) We’ll see three new environments, with two of them being announced with visionOS 3. One of them will feature a “Redwood”-like setting where you can bathe in a forest.

2) A new headstrap will be introduced alongside the new Vision Pro, which will also be backward-compatible with the first generation (I am surprised, too!). It will be similar to having two solo knit bands.

1) There will be only one new hardware announcement besides accessories. The 2nd Generation Vision Pro will be introduced in October with availability in November. It will feature an M5 chip and a new color: Space Grey. This will also introduce Apple Intelligence for the first time on the Vision Pro

I believe we’re in a similar moment now with Spatial Computing, and I absolutely love all the silly, fun, and quirky apps that provide memorable experiences for both tech enthusiasts and non-tech folks alike. Not every app needs a killer feature to make a lasting impact.
