I have an interview tomorrow for a role across the country. I'm feeling unsure and unprepared after a weekend with a sick pup. I'm scared to fail, but I'm also scared to succeed. Tomorrow's bound to be interesting.

I am so stressed out about Rook being sick and uncomfortable. The vet wouldn't prescribe the medication that I know helped him before and he's continued to show signs of discomfort. And now since they're closed I get to just tie myself in knots until Monday or signs of improvement

Rook has been sick today so while doing WFH I've been using the emotional support chicken pattern for it's listed purpose vs. my anxiety. It has been very effective for progress.

Also I just realized I've been doing short rows this whole time??? Wild. 🧶

Animals are on the move as the seasons shift. I've been feeling Some Kind of Way coming back home after 10+ years and seeing places that were once fields. Forests. Now highways and houses and trying to reconcile it with the animals that still live (and die) here with us. Idk man.

Someone is much more like himself today but still finds drinking water to be beneath him. So I'm being dastardly and soaking his kibble for meals.

One down. My dog is at the vet for a routine dental procedure and I'm a wreck about it (he's old. I have anxiety.) So we knit instead. 🧶

My first pair of colorwork socks with a little ambition. ZaneteKnit's Rhubarb and Custard for socktober. I'm really enjoying them so far. (Ignore the fact that this set of colors has been waiting to become this pattern for a year now 😅)

Next is...honeycomb brioche???

Went yarn crawling today to celebrate the end of a long week and a good interview. 🧶💛
A collection of bright skeins, and other fiber-y goodness. Listed from left to right: Two skeins of DK SW Merino in the color Technotwist from Sooieet Skeins (the OP has plans to use this in a Night Lights by Andrea Mowry), a skein of sock/fingering in the color Unicorn Shapoopsies (yes really) from Get Knitfaced in CO with a matching pink pompom with black edges. A large book from Laine Publishing called Embroidery on Knits by Judit Gummlich. A pin featuring a chicken, and a cheese stitch marker the OP gathered for her partner. Two skeins of Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair in Marzipan, and two skeins from Twisted Ambitions Yarn, with a smaller fingering hank in Highlighter, and a larger fingering hank in Light Beam.

Went out to Pride today, rocking my silly asexuality shirt. Got some pins, stickers, and a little peopled out, but I was happy to have gotten out to celebrate with the others who make my city special.

Found a Clearwing Moth outside my work (I have never seen one before???) and it made my whole week. Look at them! They're SO SMALL!!
