I have an interview tomorrow for a role across the country. I'm feeling unsure and unprepared after a weekend with a sick pup. I'm scared to fail, but I'm also scared to succeed. Tomorrow's bound to be interesting.

I am so stressed out about Rook being sick and uncomfortable. The vet wouldn't prescribe the medication that I know helped him before and he's continued to show signs of discomfort. And now since they're closed I get to just tie myself in knots until Monday or signs of improvement

Rook has been sick today so while doing WFH I've been using the emotional support chicken pattern for it's listed purpose vs. my anxiety. It has been very effective for progress.
Also I just realized I've been doing short rows this whole time??? Wild. 🧶

Rook has been sick today so while doing WFH I've been using the emotional support chicken pattern for it's listed purpose vs. my anxiety. It has been very effective for progress.

Every time I choose to look at politics too long, I can feel myself actively inflicting psychic damage. So I go back to my job, my hobbies, my dog, and just try to function day to day as the price to live ticks slowly higher.

It is such a fucking relief to see movement of the people, finally, in response to The Everything™️. Including just an absolute fucking bodying of anti-trans politicians.
I'm gonna go cheers a small drink and sit in relief that there's still momentum to be found for hope of better days to come.

On a less (more?) Feelings™️ note, I fucked up the pattern motif on my socktober socks but it almost looks intentional because I'm at the point where perfect is my enemy and 'good enough' on a project where I learned four new techniques feels like a victory anyway.

One down. My dog is at the vet for a routine dental procedure and I'm a wreck about it (he's old. I have anxiety.) So we knit instead. 🧶

Cleaned and scrubbed all the bathroom surfaces. Laundered all the blankets around the apartment. Cleaned the kitchen. Meal prepped. Bedding reset.
...and yet I still haven't vacuumed. 😅 Eh. I'll still take a manic productivity day.
