I am optometrist by nature, you know?
My theory is that @chatterton.bsky.social is thus named because these articles are actually written by a bespoke fork of ChatGPT trained solely on David Brooks columns and the PragerU curriculum.

the story is about how the American elite is rotten to its very marrow, to the extent that half of it was plotting and scheming about how to use Trump to advance their own venal interests before he even won

There's no indication that he is, but if Obama were involved we wouldn't give a shit about that either. We'd be *disappointed*, but no one would defend him.

No one would be disappointed in WJC, of course: most people just presume he was involved (even if he didn't go to the actual island).

I see where you're coming from, but I've always been opposed to capital punishment on two grounds: 1) I don't want to grant terrible people the privilege of dragging society down to their level and 2) I think it's even harsher punishment for these scumbags to waste away and wither in obscurity.

She was singing a different tune when it came to Russell Brand raping a 16-year-old but maybe things were different way back in (checks watch) 2023

Credit rating company: “Sign up for our service and immediately improve your credit score!”

That tells you everything you need to know about the objective value of that score.

Audacious yet still wildly inaccurate: 15 years old is not *barely* legal, it's way *illegal*. In New York state, someone is barely legal on their 17th birthday until whatever window of time afterwards fits your definition of "barely". But the day before their 17th birthday? Still not barely legal.

Doing stuff that should never, ever have happened in this country is sort of the GOP's modus operandi, though, including back when you still supported them.

Where I live usually has some of the most inexpensive gas in the country and the lowest price I can see on Waze is around $2.70 a gallon.

Us Americans can be pretty alright sometimes.

He’s cutting tariffs to bring coffee prices down… the tariffs that he imposed, so he’s admitting that tariffs raise prices. And he “expects GAS at $2 a gallon… Real relief–not slogans” except that… those are just slogans: what he “expects” has no relationship to the price of gas.

What kind of imaging is this? It’s amazing but would we see them as that bright visually?

Also the Magnificent Mile is not a shopping center. It’d be like saying “the 5th Avenue Shopping Center”.

In Trump’s defense, he’s an idiot.

People willing to sell us out for whatever reason they sold us out is a real danger. That’s a real danger because lots of people feel like we have no chance in that bigger fight because we’ll never get there because those people will always sell us out somewhere along the line.

You have to admit, that’s definitely a change in course

He's definitely changed the course of America, can't argue with her there.
