It’s how I make my living and I suspect you have no idea about the real world career of making art for a living. I have absolutely made slop for money and any artist who hasn’t had to is very lucky and I envy them. But I also make art. AI will not stop that. At all.

I think it depends, but when it comes to a meme, I’d say the artistry and creativity is in the idea, not the execution. Going and plugging the words in at Imgur vs writing a prompt w the words and image u want, there’s no difference except efficiency.

I get the sense you haven’t used LLMs much and may not understand what I’m saying. I’m saying that generally they are much more powerful search engines that can direct you to better, more authoritative and relevant sources than a simple google search.

I don't see how it's doing everything for them. I mean even using AI to make a shitty meme idea, you might have to refine it. is it going to be better if instead of photoshop you have to cut out pieces of paper and lay them over the image and then take a picture of that?
