🧵 We have a 2 party system in the US. Even when 3rd parties break through, they generally are not elected and certainly not for POTUS. In Maine, that's how we ended up with LePage. Twice. In order for a 3rd party to be viable we'd have to completely overhaul our election system.
And the only thing I can do is apologize to our northern neighbors and thank them for their hope we get this straightened out.
