My husband lost his job this week (and with it, my freelance gig for his company most likely). This is really scary, BUT I'm trying to tackle it head on instead of panicking.

i've decided on the more handrawn/illustration style - mostly because it's closer to my own art style (which seems obvious now lol)
so today i did some character sketches, polished one of them up, and made this little breathing/idle animation!

Today's focus is art direction and planning ahead!
I want to do some irl baking for new year's so I'm keeping things light(er). I'm torn between pixel art and a more hand-drawn vibe... so I'm going to try both! I'm going to try out making little cakes in both styles and see what makes more sense.

I wanted to try getting as far as I had previously in Gamemaker with making a simple bakery game in Godot - and I actually got a little further!
