Araucaria araucana are probably my favourite tree :) I spent a lot of time in the Chilean and Argentinian lake districts twenty years ago and fell in love with them. They have massive pine nuts inside their cones! I want one in my garden when I buy a house :)

Yes, we’re flying to Inverness and heading further NW in a rental car. Train would be a nice option if it was more affordable and didn’t take all day. Last time we went up there we took the train to Glasgow but had to fly back as trains weren’t running.

Definitely Assynt, just seeing if I can find anywhere to stay in Torridon... Haven't been up there since Dec 2023 - love the place so much!

My pleasure Dylan - it's a lovely photo and that view is just stunning! I've just booked flights to Inverness in a couple of weeks' time for a week with the hubby - now trying to work out exactly where to go - will be a bit further north from there.
