Hope you like LA, ‘cause that’s what most of this is about. A lot of it will be baseball, a lot of that will be Dodgers. A certified nobody.

I don’t even buy the baseball-side cost accounting. Seen way too many “intercompany” agreements siphoning cash between related entities.

See Hal Steinbrenner’s sad song and dance about the poor Yankees’ expenses that actually go (almost) straight into Steinbrenner family pockets.

We took our four young kids on a 3-ish hour flight to vacation with relatives this summer and they were better-behaved than some grownups on the flight. And for less than $400 a ticket roundtrip? Incredible. McDonald’s on a car trip costs us $60, minimum.

SoCal unwritten rules requre you to convert garage to finished bedroom/game room, park your car(s) on your public street, then complain there isn’t enough street parking and petition the city to require parking permits.

I’ve repurposed that jingle on occassions when my kids want Chick-Fil-A for supper.

Saw bits from a number of these “classic” games online recently and what I took away is how much of the stuff codgers complain about today were *at least* as prevalent 25-50 years ago:

throws offline or to wrong base, misplays, terrible bunts to nowhere, etc, etc.

Today’s game is the best.

Apparently not. I do not advise trying to get a three-year-old into her shoes for preschool while reading about baseball.

Seems kind of weird not to list Tommy Edman among Dodger 2B options.

I know this downballot stuff doesn’t matter at all but it’s crazy to me how many more votes went to Yelich than Smith. Pure regionalism.

Not sure a store that only sells to Dodgers is a good business model, to be honest. Much too niche for brick-and-mortar retail.

Those are cool! I was pleasantly surprised to find these printed up and ready for duty at the stadium celebration Monday:
