The best way that an artist using Paypal can protect themselves (short of using a different platform entirely) is by using Invoices. Invoices will let you control what is written as far as purpose is concerned.
Reminder: LEGALLY, paypal does not need to know what you sell. Paypal has nothing to do with your business or its transactions. Its only purpose is money transferal.
However they will try to snoop into your business as much as they can.

So if someone DMs you on discord and they say they’re making an action RPG game and they say it’s “Elyrune”, IT’S A SCAM. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT make the same mistake I made. The download link contains a .exe file and it is malware. Which is what I unfortunately installed.

So here’s an update on the scam. I just reached out to a friend of mine who also got scammed (who will remain anonymous for their safety) and asked what the supposed “game” was called. They said it was “Elyrune”. That’s the same scam that we both fell for.
