I will say a VERY much felt this way about DQ1 Remake when I reviewed it, and then really turned around with DQ2.

The first two Dissidia games are honestly pretty great, and there was so much room to expand on that - and Square Enix just has not done that in any way since lol. Genuinely don't understand how they've managed to fumble such a good idea

I will say he's delightful to interview lol. Real off-the-wall answers that can be very fun

I don't have any info (to be clear), but my suspicion is something like this was in production, at some point, and just never materialized. Seems unlikely they wouldn't have at least considered it at some point - especially working with Koei Tecmo on Dissidia NT

Star Wars is my other one that I REALLY want. And when I interviewed the producer of the series last year, he actually said he'd love to make a Star Wars game. But I assume Disney would be tough to get on board with that lol
