1995. The Ombudsman found that some of the letters that should have been issued in 2005 were delayed until 2007 (>10yrs before the change took effect).

I am not aware of any suggestion of delays notifying re the 2011 changes (effective from next year).

Exactly Kate - and then, when those “cared-for” children who reach adulthood, they are left to fend for themselves. It’s heartbreaking.

Even if their DWP letters were delayed by up to 28 months, there was plenty of media publicity at the time and they had 15 years to adjust.

They are a bunch of self-entitled whiners - not everyone of that age group is a “WASPI woman”. Many continued working or made other arrangements.
If you dare to suggest that there was awareness *15 years* ahead of time about the change then, wow, do they get angry!

Our radiators didn’t need upgrading but a lot of installers were not interested due to the age of the property. It’s an Edwardian house with a late 1980s / early 1990s heating system.
We used a local specialist - T F Heating & Plumbing in Peterborough - I highly recommend them!

Are you talking about air-to-air or air-to-water?
My ASHP provides heating & hot water - it was a replacement for my existing boiler and water cylinder.

We need to stop people from looking at heat pumps in terms of “payback” - I’ve seen that argument too many times 😔
Also, people seem to think heat pumps alone are a panacea to their poorly insulated, draughty properties 🤦‍♀️

We, in the UK, cannot call out other countries for animal rights issues when we are so appalling ourselves:
- Vivisection;
- Badger Culls;
- Greyhound Racing;
- Horse Racing;
- Fox Hunting;
- Domestic pet breeding;
- Farming practices

Absolutely horrific - Yorkshire & the North East of England seem particularly bad for #Greyhound cruelty cases 😔

No doubt the apologists from “Your Greyhound’s (Fake) History” will make up some story about how the dogs fell in to the canal or were stolen by someone and dumped 😏
