The once yearly guidelines are a lot like how the airlines made it go from ten days isolation to five.

I’m going to keep going with the six month program and claim (correctly) a high risk condition if they give me any hassle. Walmart didn’t batt an eye.

That’s an anecdote and not data.

The sad thing is kids aren’t just having an instance of “I got Covid”, they are getting it over and over.

Back in the days when people actually tested for it, around ‘21 I was seeing a lot of people on their 4-6th infection.

Classrooms are often poorly ventilated.

Saw this ten years ago when I left teaching so I’m sad to hear it’s got worse. I refused to shift the curriculum down, sent them to remedial help, failed more people and refused demands from students for higher grades bc “reasons”
I was not popular.
I’m wondering if pastoral care has also shot up?

My experience is that we're entirely on our own when it comes to tools to combat AI-powered cheating, and in fact the administration is ducking behind a bush and raising a white flag and yelling "We love AI, it's your weird teachers who don't, and they're allowed to fight it but not with our help!"

Like a decade ago I decided to sit down and do a trans reading of the entire manga series trying to prove just that point. Totally forgetting how one of the last few chapters just straight up ends with this panel.

I worked on this story for years, etc.

I’d love to know what resin you’re using.

I don’t have a 3d printer but I really like the way lunacycle had the vacuum formed ABS cases with clear resin. I think some lights *in* the resin could look rad as hell.

Post….I wish.

But yeah, in that case I’d keep a lookout on FB marketplace for a used one, I got a great bike (the one in my pinned post) for $500. Or if you don’t have FB use a friend’s account.

Feel free to send me a DM for my opinion on any potential purchases for vetting.

I F’ing love potted batteries and it’s just not done enough commercially.

I’m building a cargo bike and struggling to find an appropriate battery for it. It’s main spar though is a steel 2”x4” and it’s kinda a perfect use case for a custom potted battery.

Time to finally use the battery welder.

To be fair he’s the only one from that group still helping the unhoused and we do keep in touch to help folks in the area but there’s just no convincing him how bad LLMs are and counterproductive to the cause.

My Costco has a lovely mailbox right by the entrance that I lock to.

The ride home with that giant pack of sh!t tickets on the front rack let’s everyone know I’m winning.

The upside is if you have to spend $5 a day to take the bus an e-bike pays for itself in less than a year.

Some outfits will let you make payments so that’s an option maybe?

Well I think you know what corner of that debate I would sit in.

It’s pretty important to come at the topic from precisely that angle in addition to the more direct one.
