I’ve spearheaded an operation to deliver ice cold water to an encampment of unhoused neighbors.

The e-bike makes it so much easier but I’m still often having to do multiple trips a day.

We really need to fundraise for ice or an ice machine. Buying $12 of ice a day is pretty unsustainable.

My secret ingredient is that I see screenshots of skeets that I saw here on facebook (listen, I’m poor and need that marketplace), but instead of it being a skeet it a Xeet and that’s when I have to open this app up and block that account.

I understand the power of both clout and inertia, but if you genuinely prefer bsky to X, they why not repost your bsky content - with alt text - to X instead of the other way around?

Might I also add that putting together offline maps and resource lists into your tool bag, you can get a massive fry erase board from Lowe’s for really cheap for instance. Use a projector to transfer a map onto it and information can be wiped from it in seconds irretrievably so.

And for what it’s worth my HP has increased significantly since replacing most car trips with an e-bike.

My e-bike and my repurposed pedicab allow me to support my unhoused neighbors by bringing in tons upon tons of ice and water into the woods without the police or fascist sympathizers in my community being able to track me.

Without giving fossil fuel companies a cent.

Right into the damned woods.

Formerly a festival pedicab this heavily modified trike has a rack that can carry eight five gallon water bottles and a large cooler that holds twenty gallons of ice. There is a bullhorn hanging from the handlebars, bottle handles from the clamps holding the deck on the trike. The cooler has a Texas Trike Pilots sticker on it.

And honestly I could make it work without the cautious, but it sure puts a crimp in the creative juices having to compromise on that.

And I just don’t think that I’m the only one in town of a million people, it’s just every force has been mobilized to isolate us in particular.

There needs to be a dating site but for Covid cautious communists who need a lab partner building the best mutual aid e-bikes the world has ever seen.

I know it’s a tall order and even if it wasn’t for cautious part it would still be. We are in a bad place for creatives and pickings are slim.

What I’m really curious about is the effectiveness of a long John cargo bike as an alternative to the Toyota Hilux as a technical vehicle.

I’ve pondered using my cargo trike in this regard but it is rather cumbersome in an urban environment.

Anywhere to test this theory @sundance.bikesky.social ?
