The folks at the British Film Institute asked me to recommend 10 Indian Action Movies to go with their action film screening series. I tried my best to vary the output by director/decade/language etc. I also included more film titles to supplement the 10 on the list:

RRR may have blown the doors off internationally, but India has been making explosive action films for decades. Here are some of the best.

There are a thousand+ movies I'd never watch again.

Question is are there any movies I LOVE that i'd never watch again and yes that movie is Bergman's PERSONA
Never mind movies you’ve watched multiple times, name a movie you’ve watched once and would never watch again.

JAY KELLY was good for about 20 min and Billy Crudup's scene blew everything else out of the water. Once it's starts actually becoming an actor's self-reflection piece it goes completely downhill. I also expected Sandler to be entertaining but this his most boring role ever maybe

On Alireza Khatami’s THE THINGS YOU KILL. A surprising and cagey thriller:

What Does That Nature Say To You? is one of three Hong films I've really liked this decade so far. The other two are In Front of Your Face and In Our Day.

Paste Magazine is shutting down its movies section…. not surprising and not gonna be the last. I loved writing about some movies I deeply cared about - Signs, Happiness, Irreversible, Primer, Close Your Eyes, etc

Diane Keaton and Sandy Dennis both have something similar in their acting, hard to describe, but it's this sort of way of talking that breaks awkwardly mid sentence or word and rapidly switches between joy and despair

As someone who has never quite cared for Ira Sachs nor Ben Wishaw, PETER HUJAR’S DAY really surprised me with how absorbing and amusing it was. Wishaw is so good in it.

Chuck Klosterman's BS Pod appearance was an absolute GOAT display of Dumb Culture Guy brain. He opines on how Nico Harrison was "unfairly treated" and goes on to list everything that his critics were proven right about & then ends with "but what if all that stuff didn't happen"
