True peace isn't found by fighting the noise in your head… it’s being okay with stillness.
Stop running. Let the dust settle.

In my past, Super Bowl Sunday was such a big day for working in the clubs.... the money was good.. but the insanity of it all was so tiring!
these days, I can just barely even notice that there is a "big game" on.. and that is such a wonderful feeling.
I am so happy I don't live in chaos these days!

Where were the voids you needed to fill in your addiction?
Mine were so large that no amount of trying to fill them with people, substances, and situations... could ever be enough.
I needed something else... but how can you start to fill them if you don't even know what they are?

Coming to terms with my past is right at the center of my recovery. Some of the things that draw me back to my addiction sneak back into my life in such subtle ways...
then again, sometimes I invite them back in because they are such a comfortable fit.
