I wish I wasn't so tired at the moment, I have many things I really want to work on right now but I'm too tired to actually be able to do them. :(

Other countries are fully targeting US academics with social media ads now, basically of the form "we still have inclusive liberal democracy and academic freedom here"

Here's a fun fact:

The protocol that scanners use is called TWAIN. It literally stands for: "Technology Without An Interesting Name"

The more you know!

There's some really cool people on here actually, if I wasn't so shy and awkward, I would actually reach out and befriend some of them.

This might be the year where we see a new version of Windows. Microsoft has always supported at least two versions of Windows at a time, and with Windows 10's end approaching, I suspect something's in the works.

Just saying, Windows 12 could sneak up on us like Windows 11 did. Or it could not, idk.

Oh, Windows, what are you doing? I'm only backing up 200 GB of files, and apparently you're not done, despite already taking a terabyte of space?

I'm concerned about the tendency to immediately link mental illness to violent incidents.

I get that it's a convenient answer, but it's just wrong. It continues to spread this stereotype that people with mental illness are dangerous, and that's just not true.

Why is it always on cold days, the bus driver decides to switch the AC on full blast, but rarely turns it on on hot days?

I just wanna bring up the craziness that in Windows:

System32 - stores 64-bit files
SysWOW64 - stores 32-bit files

Oh, I forgot to mention. I mostly won't be posting too many photos on this account anymore, as I'd rather separate my thoughts and silliness from my photos.
If that's why you followed me in the first place, feel free to give my other account a follow at @photo.snowyarktic.com

Only a few weeks after buying a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i laptop for school, Lenovo comes out with a 16" 2-in-1 with the SAME SPECS and it's CHEAPER than what I got for mine.
I had tried so hard to find a 16 inch laptop that didn't have a poor processor and now it's here and I can't have it. :(
