The White House said it would soon send ballroom plans to the National Capital Planning Commission, which is required to review any external construction project at the White House and will decide whether to approve the new building. But the 12-member board is now led by a majority of Trump allies, including its chairman, Trump staff secretary Will Scharf.

Besides being monstrously racist, I always return to the fact that what is coming out of the DOJ and solicitor general's office now is just absolutely abysmal writing. this TOC for this brief? 1L students write better point headings.

I mean, starvation *is* his foreign policy, so not sure why this would test it any more than anything else, unless the Times is saying it's just too much of a test to have such a rich opportunity to harm people at his very fingertips and not be able to do it ASAP.

Somehow even when ICE agents are whipping it out to urinate in front of schoolkids, the New York Times needs to frame it an issue of excessive scrutiny of poor ICE by overwrought locals.

This is absolutely unhinged, even by the standards of this administration. An official White House "Fact Sheet" that is mostly just quoting lies and bigotry from Trump. As in directly quoting, pretending they are incisive observations.
