While the performance problems and not being able to start a new game are unacceptable, I think the MTX in Dragon's Ligma 2 is pretty much a nothingburger since you can get the stuff just by playing the game anyway. Not great, but blown way out of proportion IMO.

The current seasonal flu, or whatever the hell it is, has long legs. Aside from a runny nose I've been "well" for a week, so I figured it'd be safe to start going to the gym again, but I couldn't finish my program even though I was taking it easy.

I decided to finally wrap up Grand Theft Auto V since I originally dropped it so close to the end and it's just been sitting there taking up hard drive space. My god, these credits might legitimately be longer than the game itself 😅

Some people on Reddit were saying that this hack was enabled by a remote code execution vulnerability in the kernel-level anticheat system that Apex uses. It's a big if, but if that's true then it's absolutely hilarious.
The official Apex Legends Global Series American regional finals event has been postponed after a rather strange incident of hacking.

Maybe it's a hot take but I think it's almost a shame that Bamco is (probably) banning the Bryan Führer custom from Tekken. The humor inherent in it made fighting Bryan more tolerable 😅

Google Messages has a design problem. It has these popups about some feature or new thing or whatever that pop up out from the bottom of the screen. Every single time that has happened I have tapped something else on the screen and dismissed the popup before I even knew it was there.

Thank you, my dear dog, for coming to me when I'm lying in bed, then sneezing in my face before walking away again. Really appreciate it 🙄

So many outlets are reporting on Ludwig Göransson's poorly thought out comment about video games at the Oscars, and cashing in on the upset that it caused, but it looks like none of them have reached out to him to ask if he would like to clarify what he said.

I was considering picking up Helldivers 2 since it looks like a fair bit of fun, even though I'm not much a fan of Starship Troopers, but then I noticed it installs a keylogger onto your machine 🫠

I had a good time watching the Street Fighter 6 Saltmine League finals last night. I don't think he's on Bluesky but congrats to JuicyJoe for the win anyway 💪

It's great that there are now a bunch of projects for enabling various peripherals on Linux (libratbag/Piper, OpenRazer, ckb-next, etc.) but man, from an end user perspective I really wish there was one umbrella project so I could just install one app and have it all there.

I watched Tarkovsky's Stalker and honestly a lot of it flew over my head, but I did dig the vibes. Also from now on whenever someone says Monster Hunter games are badly written because no one has a real name, I'll point to this and ask if they think Stalker is badly written too.

When the Razer Kitsune firmware updater didn't work on Linux through Wine, I said that's too bad but sometimes that's just how it goes. Tried a Windows VM instead... the updater crashes. Maybe it detects the VM and aborts? So I tried a real Windows laptop, and it crashes there too! LOL. LMAO even.

I'm not familiar with Ed pre-Street Fighter 6, so maybe I'm missing some character background here, but I don't understand the critique of his English voicework. I think suits him really well. Better than the Japanese voice even.

Another month down according to Statcounter at least, Linux on the desktop is doing better than ever. Take it with your usual little pinch of salt like any survey sampling though.

There's a weird sort of historical revisionism going around, where some Cyberpunk 2077 superfans are pretending that the the game had a clean launch. It's great that CDPR cleaned up their act since then and CP2077 is a banger now, but it's no good for anyone to pretend it wasn't a stinker on launch.

I have a Slimbook #Fedora Edition laptop, and while it's great otherwise (best display I've ever had on a laptop, that's for sure), it does suffer somewhat from the lack of a status LED on the num lock key.

When people complain about matchmaking in games being "sweaty" what they're really saying is that they suck at the game, and instead of even matches, they would rather pound on noobs all day.
