Three things:
1. Glad Jake Paul finally had a real fight and got his jaw broken.
2. Ese cabrón isn’t Puerto Rican and most definitely doesn’t represent my country.
3. If you hate folks like Jake Paul and have any kind of love for PR, this book is for you.

So glad I read GOOD BOY by @talkscaredpod.bsky.social before the end of the year. What a beautiful, haunted little tale. Great, great read.

5/5: There is such love in the sparse words that Neil uses throughout this short, but wonderfully haunted and beautiful novella. Strunk and White would adore Neil. I read Good Boy with jealously at hi...

Midnight Somewhere: A Short-Story Collection
From Bram Stoker(R) Award-nominated author Johnny Compton, Midnight Somewhere is a frightening collection of thought-provoking stories perfect for fans of Stephen King's Night Shift, Tananarive Due's The Wishing Pool, and the work of Junji Ito. A man gets into a car that can take him anywhere he can imagine--including the past, into the worst mistake of his life, a memory he does not want to relive, cannot escape, and is even more afraid to alter ... A seemingly harmless, forgettable film about "alien hand syndrome" inspires a wave of self-harm among viewers--and even stranger things among those who become obsessed with it ... A woman tries to bring her dead lover to life through a macabre ritual that requires attacking his corpse. Is it because she longs to be with him again ... or because the two of them have unfinished business? The assorted characters in this thrilling collection encounter horrors that range from mysterious to murderous, discovering that darkness can find anyone, anywhere, at any hour of the day. After all, it's always Midnight Somewhere ...

I saw Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery yesterday, and it’s damn good. Great plotting and pacing and incredible job by the entire cast. It’s worth a trip to the theater. Don’t wait for Netflix.

Just hit the half way point and had that wonderful epiphany we love, when the rest of the story revealed itself to me in one fell swoop. That “ah ha,” moment is worth all the imposter syndrome.

Thanks to @witchingmetal66.bsky.social for taking a chance on my story for the latest theme at Pistol Jim Press. This one’s a bit of a departure in that it’s a piece of creative nonfiction, which doesn’t bode well for me when the theme is “Nails in the Coffin.” 😳👇

Working on this magazine, I can diminish the greatness of what began as a tweet from a stranger. This is one of the biggest honors I've received & it reminds me that we are thriving & loved. Thank you #IndieLitMagGala 2025, Alan Perry for making my heart swell, and our nominator for bringing me joy.
One of the most quietly powerful presses out there, @epistemiclit.bsky.social, has been spotlighted for #IndieLitMagGala 2025.

Big thanks to Jennifer (@einetogi.bsky.social) for the heartfelt nomination—this one hit us deep.
