Any Brené Brown stans get blocked

this ideological lens tends to ignore or downplay the ways traumas are understandable collective responses to fucked up political conditions. basically more communal care less self care

oh it’s nothing earth shattering but the Brené Brown/corporate friendly message about self care sees burnout/secondary trauma/compassion fatigue largely as idiosyncratic individualistic responses to “the way things are”.

i’m sure tho that what the panthers were practicing was worlds away from from the corporate friendly brené brown flavor of self care

fuck i just googled and apparently self care was a concept championed by the panthers and other people in the Black Power movement
