Whenever anyone asks me about Valour I think of Rutger Hauer in Bladerunner… the “I’ve seen things you wouldn’t believe…” speech. This article hits the nail firmly on the head. The Bombers played us for fools. Despicable. I will leave Wade Miller with Rutger’s words… “I want more life… F$&@€R!”

True…. But they bring me pain and joy in equal proportion.

"Donated"? To who exactly?

Didn’t realize it was that big. The version on my wall is significantly smaller.

Then maybe he should have replied to my letter two seasons ago outlining my reasons for cancelling my season tickets and what steps he would need to take to regain my trust. This is pretty rich coming from him.

“We had a marketing person at Valour complain about us promoting pregaming at the brewery using their logo.” one of many, many clueless blunders. SOP from the marketing department/club administration who picked fights with everyone. Control freaks with no understanding of football culture.

Wade “Judas” Miller. We never really stood a chance.

SOP for Obby.

I would like to see an investigative piece about this in the WFP. Pretty much all the reasons for this failure could be laid at Wade’s door.

Noted origami artist, Wade Miller, had the following to say about the matter…

Quick on the draw.

Shouldn’t this be outside in the shed somewhere? This sort of stuff is not normally allowed across my threshold.

You’re not nearly as bad an artist as you make out. There’s an awful lot of love emanating from this one. 🥲

Accurate assessment. Unfortunately.

I’m not sure going head to head with European leagues is the win they think it is. Also be interesting to see impacts on CPl… more loans? Higher attendance? More TV opportunities in a fairly dead summer window sports-wise?

Overdue.

The costs of war span generations; The people one never knows, the cousins never born, the lives not fully lived, the community and kin torn apart. Democracy, justice, a rules-based International Order… all things worth fighting for so we don’t have to go to war.

Wal died in the Battle for Gavrelle and is remembered on the Hood Battalion cross in the church there. Ernest’s health was never the same on his return from the trenches. Very little of this history was spoken about in my family growing up. We’ve pieced it together over the last few years.
