This isnt to say anime is "bad." I just don't understand why it's so special to a huge swath of people

Should add that point one has a lot more to it than it seems: e.g. AI might not be capable of "Truth-telling" at all

2. Unwarranted: It threatens one's epistemic authority which is bad regardless of epistemic fidelity -- usually stems from a belief in credentialism or that one's labor/work should take priority regardless of whether AI is more or less correct.
