It was funny when I lived in LA to be walking through the Hollywood Farmer’s Market and thinking “yep, there goes another typical really beautiful Los Angeles woman… oh, wait, it’s Natalie Portman.”

It was funny when I lived in LA to be walking through the Hollywood Farmer’s Market and thinking “yep, there goes another typical really beautiful Los Angeles woman… oh, wait, it’s Natalie Portman.”
Clearly the person who recorded it meant to say “in observance of” or something like that and doesn’t know what “in lieu of” means. But what WOULD that mean?
“Since we can’t give you a Thanksgiving meal with your family, accept this closed office.”
“Since we can’t give you a Thanksgiving meal with your family, accept this closed office.”

I mean, hell, you could even make it a sequel to the last Brosnan movie if you wanted to. It’s pretty absurd to say that the five Craig movies have to be sacrosanct but the 20 that came before him don’t.
