I’m all for reducing plastic, but replacing curling ribbon with paper which doesn’t tie or curl somewhat defeats the purpose of it even existing… ?!

I think aside from food and some Santa specific wrapping paper, I may have just finished my Christmas shopping! Annoyed I did a lot online but shopping with two kids in tow and trying to do things secretly would be a logistical nightmare….. 🫣

Never thought I’d be jealous of a child, but H’s ability to just lie down, head on the pillow, and be out cold snoring in 10mins flat is beyond impressive. It’s a real talent that if he could bottle it would be worth millions 😂

Maybe I’m just a bit of a boomer deep down, but I keep seeing those photo edit groups come up on Facebook. Can we not just enjoy photos for the beautiful moments they are without the need for perfection?

Trying to think of even semi decent presents for the kids seems more and more impossible each year. Even a look round the toy shop it’s just largely plasticky tat… 🤷🏼♀️ I have lovely ideas and stuff for smaller bits but I am stumped…

Had big plans of productivity today, except H got up overnight from a nightmare, and it’s Monday Morning (I didn’t factor in it being Monday).
Only one thing for it: watch an episode of Hoarders to motivate myself…

The biggest downside to children is that I - Middle Aged and run down having looked after H who was poorly all week) - is very much ready for bed at 6pm on a Friday.
M - not middle aged - has a drawing book set up and is very much the opposite of tired 😂

Illness struck H down for a few days and in the last few hours demolished a packet of baby cucumbers, a bowl of tofu and sweetcorn noodles, a packet of breadsticks, and a brownie… I think he’s feeling better!

Had a race with the Tesco Man for my delivery (of course it came as I was collecting M from school) and he won by 3 minutes. Good for him though waiting I was beyond grateful!
