A guy (he/him), obsessed with the DS/3DS and handheld game systems of nearly every kind. Too Many Handhelds on YouTube.
In a sea of $70+ games, the $45 game with no microtransactions won a ton of awards just by being a great game. I don't think the industry will try to mimic that, but it should.

It would be amazing if Clair Obscur created a better gaming landscape "for those that come after".

My only regret with the Steam Deck is that I didn't buy it sooner. There are a handful of games like Legend of Mana that aren't compatible with Steam OS (yet), but otherwise I've been blown away by what I can play on it. I'm also impressed how you don't have to mess with tdp settings or...

I liked Arcade 1UP when they were charging $250 for the cabinets, and the countercades are nice, but I can't say that this is too surprising. Their later cabs were $500+ and most people just don't have space for more than one of these, so it's hard to have return customers.

Didn't this just come out a few weeks ago? I saw a video on it and it looks more like a generic multiplayer game with a Painkiller coat of paint than a remake of the original, so it's not for me, but $20 seems like a good price.

I've been listening to a lot of Ozzy's music since he passed earlier in the year, and I regret that I never saw him live. There are a lot of great live clips on YT though, and this version of I Don't Want to Change the World is exactly what I needed to wake up this morning.

Playing PSP on the Steam Deck is like a revelation! The screen is huge, and upscaled these games look amazing! It's also powerful enough to fast forward really fast when upscaled. I'm very impressed!

I've got to go back and finish Lies of P. I had a lot of fun with it, then got distracted, probably by Clair Obscur.

I hear there's going to be new info on the upcoming Resident Evil game.

That's cool, but I feel like the only person left on the internet that likes going into games as blindly as possible lol.

I was surprised to get a notification from Anbernic that my DS is queued up for shipping, and they fixed the screen refresh/sync issue. I'm so amped for this!

I want to finish Lunar 2, but I get bored with how grindy the end of the game is. The whole game is pretty grindy, and the speed up in the remaster helps, but it feels so repetitive fighting the same enemies over and over to get through these late game dungeons.

Someone should start a tech company that makes clones of common apps, but the way they were before enshitification ruined everything. Just provide a simple, better experience that people will flock to, and take market share away and start a trend to make them fix their apps.

We're supposed to get a snow storm, but we might just get a dusting.

Either way I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep, so I went grocery shopping at 6AM to beat the snow. It was a surreal experience, almost like a dream. An empty store with everything in stock and no crowds at all.
